I'd like to thank everyone that came out to take part in our two-day event!
The weather was hot but not as bad as week prior's record temps, Saturday and Sunday mornings started out 63 degrees with highs in the upper 80's. We had 17 anglers fish both days that brought a combined total of 126 fish to the scales that weighed 216.93 lbs.
Brad Benfield had an impressive bag of 14.83lbs on day 2 that rocketed him from a 6th place finish on day 1 to First Place on Sunday, with a combined total weight of 22.03lbs. Brad won $936 for his first place finish.
Butch Pitts also had a good day 2 finish of 13.72lbs that combined with his day 1 weight of 7.67, secured him $536 for second place, second place trophy, and first place option pot of $90.
Chase Stewart secured the AOY title with the third place finish weighing in a combined weight of 20.25lbs. Chase received the D-96 AOY Trophy along with the third place trophy. $172, second place option pot of $60, and a paid entry fee into the National Championship a $170 value.
