This day started out cold and fog at 35 degrees and was at 75 degrees by the 3 pm weigh-in. Sunny skies with the wind out of the SSW at 5 to 15mph. Lake Wateree was down almost 3 feet with surface temp in the low 60s. There were 22 anglers fishing this tournament out of Clear Water Cove near Camden, SC.
First place, Randy Ables of Camden, SC had a 5 fish limit weighing 13.65 pounds that was anchored with 2 kicker fish over 4 pounds. Randy was fishing the lower part of the lake and caught his fish on a Texas Rigged Rage Craw by Strike King. He was fishing docks and points in shallow water. Randy caught only 5 fish all day and took home $684 for first place and first place option.
Paul Selle of Lexington, SC was second with 5 fish weighing 13.29 pounds but a dead fish penalty of .5 pounds dropped his total to 12.79 pounds. Paul won $416 for second place and second place option.
