First place, Franklin Ramey had 5 fish weighing 12.45 pounds for the win. His 1st place finish and option pot earned him a payback of $492.
Second place was George Berry 5 fish weighing 12.30 pounds which included the tournament big fish at 5.30 pounds. He caught his fish on the upper part of the lake fishing a buzzbait and plastic worms. The big fish came on the buzzbait. George earned $338 for second place, big fish and the option pot. Third place was Allen Murray 5 fish weighing 11.74 pounds. Allen took home $79 for third place. Productive lures for this event were buzzbaits, soft plastics, jigs and crankbaits.
15 anglers fished this 1-Day Division 96 qualifier on Clarks Hill Lake out of the Dorn Facility near McCormick, SC. Day one started out at 63 degrees, humid with a light to no wind and ended with the 3 pm weigh-in at 91 degrees and muggy. Water temps were in the high 70’s. Water was clear on the main lake and stained in the backs of creeks and rivers.
